At Skye Glen Medical Practice, we are keen to recruit a GP to join our friendly, close and supportive team as a Partner (locum initially).
Our aim is providing high quality, compassionate, patient centred care. We have had great feedback from past locums as well as members of the wider primary care team.
We currently have three GP Partners, Practice Nurse, two Health Care Assistants, Practice Manager, Office Manager and Reception Staff. We are further supported by our practice pharmacy team, link worker, primary care mental health nurse and primary care occupational therapy working within the practice. We are a teaching practice for University of Glasgow Medical School and have received a certificate of excellence! We have a practice wide ethos of lifelong learning and development for all staff members.
The Practice is based in Rutherglen Primary Care Centre and is an easy commute from the West End, South Side or City Centre of Glasgow or from Lanarkshire. Rutherglen can be easily accessed from Junction 2 from the M74. There is ample parking. The Health Centre is shared with five other GP practices and allied healthcare professionals including physio, podiatry, maternity care, treatment room, health visitors and psychiatry.
Our Practice population is approximately 5,000 with a diverse patient demographic. The Practice uses EMIS and Docman. We currently offer a varied appointment system with a mixture of same day, 48 hour and routine appointments. These are all 15 minute appointments. We are based in NHS Lanarkshire and most of our secondary care is provided by Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Commencement date is negotiable as we are willing to wait for the right candidate. We welcome newly qualified GPs to apply for this post. We would welcome any potential candidates who wish to come and work at the practice before applying for the post.
