GP Local Appraiser Advisor

2 sessions (3.5 hours) per week

NHS Tayside is looking to a recruit GP Local Appraiser Advisor to lead and oversee the appraisal process for General Practice. We currently have a team of 21 GP Appraisers who ensure that our General Practitioners in Tayside are guided to meet regulatory standards in an environment with development, improvement and compassion at its heart.

The successful candidate will provide professional leadership to support the process of GP Appraisal and Revalidation in NHS Tayside. They will be responsible for supervising all GP appraisers within Tayside and will be the first port of call for any queries in relation to the appraisal process. They will also support the Deputy Responsible Officer and Responsible Officer in making decisions regarding the revalidation of GPs working in Tayside.

To take on this exciting opportunity, you must be a current appraiser in NHS Scotland who has completed NES appraiser training, has a minimum of 3 years experience as an appraiser and holds a full GMC Registration including a licence to practice.
