GP with an Interest in Frailty, Multi-Morbidity & Palliative Care
Newbattle Medical Group is looking for an experienced GP with a strong interest in multi-morbidity and palliative care to lead the care of our frail patients in the community.
You will be responsible for a list of approximately 350 patients, delivering high-quality, personalised care through exceptional relational continuity.
The post can be offered full-time or as a job share, covering 7 clinical sessions and 1 administrative session. You will be supported by our excellent administrative team in managing your patient list, allowing you to focus your time on delivering high-quality clinical care.
Many of the patients will be housebound, and you will be supported with visiting arrangements, providing capacity for both planned reviews and urgent care.
This is an opportunity to really get to know your patients and your community, providing the type of high-quality, relationship-based care that General Practice is capable of. The role has a strong focus on supporting care at home, realistic medicine, continuity and proactive management of complex health needs.
The Practice has been a pioneer in developing this service, and the successful post holder(s) will also have the opportunity to become involved in research or raising awareness of the model, should they wish.
