Church Street Surgery is looking for a Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive and close-knit team. We are deliberately keeping the number of sessions flexible: whether you are looking for a smaller weekly commitment or something more substantial, we would be very pleased to have a conversation about what might work for you and for us.
We are a two-partner practice caring for approximately 4,100 patients in the beautiful coastal town of Dunoon on the Cowal Peninsula, under the auspice of NHS Highland. We are proud to be a practice where people know each other, support each other and genuinely enjoy working together.

- 2 GP Partners
- 1 Prescribing Practice Nurse and 2 Practice Nurses
- 1 Healthcare Assistant and 1 Phlebotomist
- Physiotherapy provision 3 mornings per week
- A Community Link Worker
- Strong pharmacotherapy support through NHS Highland
- A supportive Practice Manager and experienced administrative team
Our workload is what you would expect in general primary care, without unusual additional responsibilities or expectations. Protected administrative time is always provided.
A ROLE WITH FLEXIBILITY
We know that GPs are looking for different things at different stages of their careers, so we are open-minded about the number of sessions. If Church Street Surgery feels like the right fit, we would rather start the conversation and explore what arrangement could work.
- Number of sessions negotiable
- Flexibility regarding working days
- Working day 8.00am – 6.00pm, with a lunch break
- Protected administrative time
- No out-of-hours commitment
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience
- 7 weeks’ annual leave plus public holidays (pro rata)
- Qualifies for Golden Hello Scheme
