An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our established partnership at Dalhousie Medical Practice, working 5-6 sessions per week. Start date and days of work are negotiable for the right candidate.

We believe that delivering excellent patient care starts with supporting our clinicians.
Our GP appointment template is modelled on BMA Safe Workload guidance and includes:
- 15-minute appointments
- 12 routine appointments per clinical session
- No routine lunchtime home visits
- Systems to support safe management of urgent demand
As our team continues to grow, we remain committed to reviewing capacity, protecting clinical time and continually refining our workload model to ensure General Practice remains both rewarding and sustainable.
A Practice Committed to Learning
We are an accredited training practice supporting:
- 2nd and 6th Year Medical Students
- FY2 Doctors
- GPST1 and GPST3 Registrars
Whether you are already involved in medical education or interested in developing your skills as a trainer, there are opportunities to become involved in teaching, supervision and mentoring.
Our Practice
Dalhousie Medical Practice serves approximately 9,700 patients. Our patients come from a variety of demographics, and come with a diverse range of presentations, which we find very rewarding. We care for patients across all stages of life, from young families through to older adults, including residents of care homes and adults with learning disabilities.

- Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant
- Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner
- Primary Care Mental Health Nurse and Wellbeing Practitioner

Our Practice uses Vision and Docman systems, and our clinical admin work is assisted by our workflow and clinical pharmacy teams.
We have strong working relationships with community services and are based within the purpose-built Bonnyrigg Health Centre, alongside a wide range of healthcare professionals.
