Fixed Term (1 year) Maternity Cover GP Locum – South Queensferry Medical Practice
5-8 Sessions | Start date negotiable
South Queensferry Medical Practice is a large, well‑established, and well‑organised training practice serving approximately 13,000 patients. Due to upcoming maternity leave, we are looking for a GP Locum to join our friendly and supportive team. We are happy to be flexible on the number of sessions, with a start date to be agreed.
About the Practice
Our multidisciplinary team includes:
- 5 GP Partners
- 7 Salaried GPs
- Practice Mental Health Nurse
- Clinical Pharmacists
- Advanced Physiotherapist
- An experienced nursing team and a large, supportive administrative team
We are proud to be a training practice, actively supporting medical students and GP Trainees in a collaborative learning environment.
Clinical Working Environment
- Flexible appointment templates with a mix of 10‑ and 15‑minute consultations
- Combination of telephone and face‑to‑face appointments
- No full triage system, ensuring a broad and interesting mix of patient presentations
- IT systems: Vision and Docman
- Working within the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership
