Adam Avenue Practice is seeking a Salaried GP for 6–8 sessions per week. This is a genuinely protected role designed around safe, sustainable general practice

A truly protected role
We mean it. No on-calls. No Duty GP. No home visits. No triage. No eConsults.
No supervision of other staff. No unrelated admin - only your own patients' labs and Docman tasks.
Safe working, by design
We follow BMA Safe Working Guidance: 25 patient encounters per day, maximum.
Every appointment is 15 minutes as standard.
Admin burden significantly reduced.
Pharmacotherapy is managed by a dedicated Pharmacists' Hub, and we operate a largely paperless environment through robust workflow optimisation.
Leave and indemnity
- 7 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
- Indemnity cover with MDDUS paid in full by the practice
Early career?
If you're within 12 months of completing GP training, we offer mentoring and supportive job plan with gradual induction to the clinical coalface, so you build your confidence at a sustainable pace.
Golden Hello
Eligible candidates may receive a one-off payment of up to £10,000 from NHS Lanarkshire Health Board.

Adam Avenue Practice is based in modern Airdrie Community Health Centre.
We care for around 10,000 registered patients and have built a stable, experienced team around them.
Our team includes:
- Five long-standing GP Partners
- Two Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- Community Mental Health Nurse
- Community Link Worker
- Occupational Therapists
- On-site Pharmacists and local Pharmacotherapy Hub
