South Queensferry Medical Practice is a large, well‑established, and well‑organised training practice serving approximately 13,000 patients. Due to a combination of factors, including an increasing patient list size and upcoming retirements, we are looking to welcome an enthusiastic GP to join our friendly and supportive team. We are happy to be flexible on the number of sessions, with a start date to be agreed.
About the Practice
Our multidisciplinary team includes:
- 5 GP Partners
- 7 Salaried GPs
- Practice Mental Health Nurse
- Clinical Pharmacists
- Advanced Physiotherapist
- An experienced nursing team and a large, supportive administrative team
We are proud to be a training practice, actively supporting medical students and GP Trainees in a collaborative learning environment.
Clinical Working Environment
- Flexible appointment templates with a mix of 10‑ and 15‑minute consultations
- Combination of telephone and face‑to‑face appointments
- No triage system, ensuring a broad and interesting mix of patient presentations
- IT systems: Vision and Docman
- Working within the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership
