Murrayfield Medical Centre is recruiting for a 6 session per week Maternity Locum GP, required from mid-June/early July until at least May 2027.
Who are we?
We are a Vision practice located in the beautiful suburban area of Murrayfield in west Edinburgh, with a list size of over 7,800 patients. We care for a diverse population within the catchment area.
Our team includes 5 GP Partners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 practice nurses, a phlebotomist, a pharmacist, a mental health nurse and is complimented by an experienced and highly supportive administration team. We also host medical students on placement.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, the successful applicant would be available to work full days Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, although flexibility may be possible.
Sessions include face-to-face consultations, a small number of telephone consultations, a share of home visits, along with associated admin including prescriptions and Docman. GPs enjoy meeting daily for coffee and a chat, offering peer support and shared learning. The practice is committed to ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
With the availability of new workforce funding, there may be potential for this maternity cover to lead to a substantive post.
