Dedridge Medical Group is looking for an enthusiastic and caring doctor to join our friendly, supportive, and sociable practice as a salaried General Practitioner. The post is ideally for five-six sessions per week and has a start date of July/August 2026. However, we would happily consider a range of sessions or alternative start date for a suitable candidate.
Dedridge Medical Group has a committed dynamic team comprising six GP Partners and four salaried GPs working alongside a highly skilled nursing team including two ANPs and a friendly and helpful administrative staff. Additionally, we benefit from inhouse Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, a Pharmacy team, a Practice Mental Health Nurse, and a Community Link Worker. Together we provide a full range of high-quality primary care services for a mixed demographic population of 11,000 patients. We pride ourselves in being mutually supportive incorporating a daily clinician catch up at morning coffee. We also recognise the importance of ensuring a good work/life balance in allowing us to maintain provision of high-quality patient care.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a GP at any stage in their career and the practice will provide many opportunities for ongoing professional development, including regular inhouse time-to-learn sessions. There are also opportunities to get involved with teaching and supervision of attached GP registrars and medical students. We offer a good income with generous annual and study leave entitlement.
The practice is based in Livingston, West Lothian, close to the local District General Hospital and conveniently located in the Central Belt of Scotland. The town is within a short commute from the beautiful city of Edinburgh, where most of our doctors live, providing all the amenities of the Festival city.
