At Alva Medical Practice, we’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic GP to join us for 5–7 sessions per week. Whether you’re looking for a salaried role or a partnership, we’d love to have a chat.
We’re a friendly, well-established split-site practice serving around 13,350 patients across Alva and Tullibody—and we pride ourselves on being a place where people enjoy coming to work (and staying for a proper catch-up over coffee).

You won’t be doing this alone. Our experienced and proactive multidisciplinary team includes:
- 6 Practice-employed and PCIP Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- 3 Skilled Practice Nurses
- A dedicated Pharmacotherapy Team
- 2 Mental Health Nurses
- CTAC support for phlebotomy
- 2 Advanced Practice Physiotherapists
- Attached District Nursing and Health Visiting Teams
Plus, a fantastic admin and management team who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

The Role
- 5–7 sessions per week (with flexibility built in)
- 15-minute appointments
- Mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations
- Start date: August 2026 (or whenever suits)
- Indemnity covered
- Permanent salaried post or partnership for the right person
Time to Recharge
We know that good care starts with well-supported clinicians:
- 7 weeks annual leave
- 2 weeks public holidays
- 1 week study leave
(all pro rata)
And yes—proper breaks are encouraged. Tea, coffee, and a bit of team chat are very much part of the working day.
