Following the announcement of the new funding deal for general practice in Scotland we are looking to recruit an additional permanent 6 session salaried doctor to the Team. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced colleagues.
Based in a modern Health Centre in a beautiful semi-rural setting, we serve a diverse population of 11,600 patients across a large geographical area.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly, supportive, and well-organised practice where teamwork is at the heart of everything we do. We have a daily morning update and coordination meeting with representation from the whole team. Our clinical team includes 8 Partners, 4 salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 Healthcare Assistants, and an experienced administrative team. Integrated into the team are two first contact physiotherapists, a pharmacist and pharmacy support technician and a primary care mental health support nurse. We use Vision and Docman clinical systems alongside Lexacom digital dictation to support efficient workflows.
You’ll also benefit from strong partnership work with a wider multidisciplinary team of district nurses, Macmillan nurse, midwives, health visitors and social work team the majority of whom are based within the Health Centre Building.
We are passionate about medical education. We are a post-graduate GPST training practice accredited by NHS Education Scotland. We also host undergraduate students from Aberdeen, Dundee, and the St Andrews/Dundee University ScotGEM programme. We welcome applicants who share our enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring the next generation of doctors.
The practice is also involved in testing and trialling developments in Primary Care IT that will help improve current systems and develop new methods of working to the benefit of patients.
