Murrayfield Medical Practice
4-6 Session Salaried GP
Permanent position commencing week of 29th June 2026
Commencing in late June 2026 we would like to welcome a 2nd salaried GP to our friendly and enthusiastic team for 4-6 sessions with working days to be agreed.
Murrayfield Medical Practice is a suburban practice in the city of Edinburgh with a current list size of 8,000 patients. We are lucky to work in a beautiful building with views of the water of Leith, Roseburn park and Murrayfield Stadium. We are a 6-partner practice and are involved in the teaching of 4th year medical students from Edinburgh University. We also support local pharmacists and district nurses in their independent prescribing qualification.
We are the lead GP Practice for 2 nursing/care homes. We provide a Nexplanon and joint injection service. We are fortunate to have an ANP and Paramedic who support us with House calls throughout the week and are valued members of the team.
The practice has a wonderful admin team, nursing team and associated Pharmacists, Health Visitors and District Nurses. There is no out of hours commitment but the practice does offer extended hours clinics for patients which are covered by the GP Partners.
The practice is paper light and uses both Vision and Docman clinical systems along with Medlink for patient recall and Accurx for patient communications.
We pay a competitive salary within BMA pay scales dependent upon experience. You are eligible for 6 weeks annual leave as well as 1 weeks additional study leave, plus public holidays. (pro-rata). Previous applicants are welcome to re-apply.
