We are a city based GP Practice seeking to employ a 4 session Salaried GP to join our friendly team due to retirement. We would welcome applications from newly qualified GP's and more experienced GP's looking to explore new opportunities.
The post will be available from January 2026. The successful candidate will be working all day Monday and in addition either Tuesday or Wednesday. There may be opportunity for additional sessions in the near future.
We have a patient population of just over 10,200 patients and we use Vision as our clinical system. The practice promotes a supportive, collaborative approach to work. We have daily huddles to discuss interesting and challenging cases.
We currently have a clinical team of 5 GP Partners, 6 salaried doctors, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 HCA's, an MSK Physiotherapist, a Mental Health Nurse, 2 pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy technician. Our Admin team consists of a Practice Manager and Business Manager, 7 reception/admin assistants, 3 data administrators and 2 secretaries. The GP Practice is part of purpose built premises which also house community services such as District Nursing, Health Visitors, School Nurses and Midwives. The ideal candidate will report to the GP partners on clinical issues and the Practice Manager on all other issues. We host and teach 1st and 4th year Edinburgh University medical students.
We are a sociable, animal loving team. We are fortunate to have an outside seating area where we can all get together for coffee and lunch when the weather permits!
