Mairches Medical Practice is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for either a GP Partner or a Salaried GP, to join our well established forward thinkig and dynamic Practice. We would welcome applications for consideration of a Salaried GP or GP Partner position.
We serve approximately 11,000 patients across two sites in Scottish Borders: Galashiels and Hawick. We also provide in-hours cover for the Hawick Community Hospital. We are supported by an experienced team of ANPs, practice nurses, and a dedicated administrative and management team.
The Practice is a welcoming and supportive place to work. We place much emphasis on a healthy work/life balance, and have daily meetings and opportunities for debriefs, case discussions, and reflections. We also have regular educational meetings for continued professional development. We also have regular social events! We are looking for our new team member to contribute to the development of the Practice and bring new ideas, innovations and enthusiasm.
We are an established GP team of 7 Partners, 1 Salaried GP and 1 long -term locum. We would prefer candidates to work across both sites to support increasing demand for GP services. However, we have some flexibility in terms of role and work pattern and would encourage enquiries from candidates who are keen to work at either or both sites. The position is available immediately, but we could have some flexibility for the right candidate.

Job specifics:
• An average of 12 x 15-minute appointments per session
• One “Duty Day” per week
• Support of extensive and developed nursing team - ANPs, Minor Ailments Nurse, Specialist Respiratory Nurse, Practice Nurses, HCAs.
• Wider health care team of on-site physiotherapist and pharmacist as well as local dedicated primary care mental health team (RENEW).
• Supported Duty Team working (ANP and GP), with twice daily clinical/educational huddles.
• EMIS and DocMan based systems, due to change to Vision later this year
