Williamwood Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic GP to join our team. We are looking for 6-8 sessions but this would be negotiable for the right candidate and we are flexible in terms of days worked.
We are a friendly, forward thinking GP training practice based in Clarkston, in the Southside of Glasgow. We are based in purpose-built, modern premises also housing a pharmacy. We have onsite parking and have approximately 11,000 patients.
You will be joining a large, well-established team of clinicians. At present, this includes 6 GPs, 2 GP trainees, 1 ANP, 3 prescribing clinical pharmacists, an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist, a Practice Nurse, a Healthcare assistant and 2 Community Link Workers. As well as our clinical team, you will be supported by a wonderful team of skilled administrative staff and a talented Practice Manager. We have close working relationships with our District Nursing and Health Visitor Teams and you will meet with them face to face weekly. As a Training Practice, we encourage an ethos of continual training and development. In addition to our GP trainees, we support Medical Students from the University of Glasgow.
We meet informally daily for clinical meetings over coffee, weekly with our multidisciplinary team and have full team educational meetings quarterly. The practice is involved with GP Forum and Cluster meetings with other local practices. We are paper light using EMIS and Docman. Our appointment system is a mix of pre-bookable face to face and telephone appointments as well as some ‘same-day’ urgent appointments. We provide GP care to 3 local care homes.
