We are looking for a GP to work 4 sessions a week over 2-3 days – the days worked are negotiable.
A GP Partner would be preferred but applications for a Salaried GP would be welcomed (one of our Salaried GPs is moving on).
There is no out-of-hours commitment required; each GP partner offers one extended-hours surgery per month.
Comrie Medical Centre is a 2-partner, 2-Salaried GP 2.5 whole-time-equivalent GMS practice straddling the edges of rural Perthshire and Stirlingshire. We are a recognised remote and rural practice with a list size of 2700 patients.
The GPs are supported by a wonderful team consisting of Practice Manager, Office Manager, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 4 Administrators, a Community Pharmacist with supporting Technicians and a Community Advanced Nurse Practitioner to help with home visits.
District Nurses are shared with neighbouring Crieff practices; Podiatrists and CTACS Phlebotomy run clinics from our building.
Comrie is situated in beautiful west Perthshire and offers an enviable lifestyle. The Great Outdoors is on our doorstep with lochs, rivers, Munros and mountain bike trails all within easy reach. It really is a wonderful, inclusive village to live and work in – for those with children there is a Primary School in Comrie and Secondary Schools in Crieff. If you decide you need a break from tranquillity and you want some urban culture then Glasgow and Edinburgh are within easy reach.
