Newburgh and Abernethy Surgery
Due to an expanding local population we are looking for a 4th Partner to join us here at Newburgh and Abernethy Surgery. We are a small, semi-rural practice covering the communities of Newburgh (Fife) and Abernethy (Tayside).
We are a close-knit team who provide a friendly and supportive working environment and who pride ourselves in delivering traditional family medical care to our patient population of just over 4000.

We are geographically well positioned and easily commutable from Dundee, Perth, Kirkcaldy and surrounding areas. Located at the start of the beautiful Fife Costal Path and near the Gateway to the Highlands and St Andrews, Newburgh Surgery boasts stunning views over the river Tay.
We have an enthusiastic clinical team with an excellent skill mix consisting of three part-time GP Partners, Salaried GP and Practice Nurse who enjoy the full support of our loyal and highly-skilled Administrators. We also benefit from having an ANP, Mental Health Nurse, Pharmacy team and CTAC services on-site provided by the health board. Our staff turnover is extremely low and job satisfaction is high!
We offer 15 minute face-to-face appointments with a mixture of face to face and telephone consultations, with protected GP bookable time for reviews, workflow and administration. We are proud to be an accredited GP training practice and currently have a GPST3 in post in addition to providing educational placements to 5th Year medical students from University of Dundee and BSc and ScotCOM students from St Andrews University.
