Broughty Ferry Health Centre Vacancy
Broughty Ferry Health Centre is a stable practice in the coastal town of Broughty Ferry (5 miles from Dundee City Centre). There are seven partners who have enjoyed working together in the practice for many years and the practice has a full complement of experienced administration and nursing staff who all work well together.
The full team are passionate to ensure patient care is at the centre of our working day and the goal of ensuring patient and team satisfaction on a daily basis. We are based in a purpose-built Health Board owned premises with no ‘buy in’ required.
Due to the planned retirement in June 2024 of one of our longstanding partners, we are looking for a GP to join our team. We are willing to consider a salaried position, partner or job share if this is of interest. Ideally we are looking for you to be able to work 6 sessions although this could be negotiated for the suitable person.
We also have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at the Health Centre who is responsible for the triaging of House calls.
We have a list size averaging 9200 patients: fully trained nurse team, led by a Practice Nurse Practitioner, who run the Chronic Disease Clinics : Our computer systems are Vision and Docman and we are a paperless practice : Extended hours 1730-1945 (currently once a week pro-rata with optional opt in for all partners).
We are about to implement e-consult within the Health Centre (December 2022) and use the application of iGPR to help generate our Subject Access requests and Medical Reports.
The purpose-built building also houses a pharmacotherapy team, Community and Care Treatment Team with Podiatry, First Contact Physio are also imbedded within the Health Centre.
We are also looking to train medical students (4th and 5th year) from March 2024.
We are also looking to implement Medlink to help workflow patient requests.
We are a forward-thinking practice and realise that adaption’s may need to be made to meet the demand from patients. We are looking for the right person who can help us operate at the forefront of new technology solutions whilst making sure all our patients are being supported.

Workflow optimisation in place to reduce workload
15 minutes appointments and constant review of on the day capacity
Nursing home visiting team
Availability of PALMS/FCP/listening service/social prescribing
Golden Hello eligibility.
